Ximage6 imaging software enables the capture, processing and viewing of X-ray images for non-destructive testing (NDT). It has been designed and developed by X-innovations using over 10 years experience for X-ray system control and image capture, processing and viewing of images. Ximage6’s modular design allows it to be connected to an array of customer systems including (but not limited to) PLC’s, databases, detectors, manipulators and collimators. Bespoke connections can be developed on request.
Ximage6 has a built in scripting engine which allows the operator to create fully customisable automated or semi-automated scripts written in either C# or Visual Basic programming languages.
Ximage6TM Software features include:
- Windows 10/11
- Simple user friendly graphical user interface
- Individual operator logins with editable user permissions
- Capture single, live or recursive images (detector dependent)
- Save and view images in a variety of formats (.TIF, .JPEG, .DICOM, .BMP, .PNG, .FTS)
- Ability to capture images from a range of detectors including Xi-DIS imaging systems and Varex flat panel detectors (FPDs)
- Ability to write fully customised automated or semi-automated customer scripts using built in scripting engine (C#, Visual Basic)
- Full detector control including exposure duration, gain (where applicable) and region of interest
- Image calibration (offset and gain images)
- Contrast and brightness adjustment using a Look- up-table (LUT)
- Image crop, zoom, rotate and flip
- De-noising filters (including median, hot pixel and smooth (Gaussian))
- Wide range of standard imaging filters including negate, sobel gradient and emboss
- Range of advanced localised contrast imaging filters to highlight hard to see features
- Recipes to apply a number of user defined filters in a single click – multiple recipes can be saved
- Measurement tools (line, rectangle, ellipse, polygon, angle and profile)
- Image annotation (line, arrow, rectangle, ellipse, polygon, text)
- User definable guidelines
- Image subtraction (subtraction of one image from another to highlight defects)
- ASTM 19232 tool for SRb (spatial resolution) assessment of detector
- Software X-ray control for Varex Linatrons (fitted with eComm unit) and Gulmay X-ray systems
- Software system control for Xi-COL (collimators) and PLC systems (OPC)
